What age did you move your little one at? DS2 (14w) is far too big for the cocoon and I've just set toddler seat up with headhugger from Mothercare (thanks whoever gave that tip) but he seems at too much of an angle when placed in the seat - it just seems too upright although his bouncy seat isn't much flatter but the bouncy seat doesn't have the same angle where bottom of the seat meets the back. Anyway, if you moved over at this age, was it ok comfort wise and do/did you find them sheltered enough from wind/cold without raincover on?

hi there, my ds2 is 15 weeks (born 2 Dec, but he's not a huge baby, probably somewhere between 13 and 14lbs now) and we set up the second seat a couple of weeks ago. I have a stroller lambskin underneath him, he wears an all in one fleece and I have a large-ish fleece blanket tucked around him. He certainly seems comfortable! I also tried a cosytoes (generic type with holes for 5-point harness from John Lewis) and that was fine as well- in fact probably more snuggy as totally enclosed - but not practical for us as we keep the pushchair outside and needed to take it off every evening.

Hi Elliott ... thanks! There's only 2 days between our boys! Anyway, just one more question - do you keep the raincover on whilst out to keep him sheltered at all?

no I don't - we're hard up north! seriously he really seems lovely and cosy - the front seat acts as a bit of a windbreak I think. Is your ds2 older or younger? I have met a huge number of babies (about 5!) with birthdays on the 2, 3 or 4 of Dec!

Hi Millie

ds2 was born on 9th Nov and is in the toddler seat as he doesn't fit underneath anymore. Like elliott I normally put him in a fleecy all-in-one and a blanket. I've also got a headhugger from Mothercare. I was abit concerned about the upright angle as well, but he seems to have taken to it. I guess he just wants to sit up all the time now (doesn't like being laid flat!). I've found the second seat pretty well sheltered, altho' I've not been out in really bad weather.
