A conputer programme that will type from my dictation

I am an awful typist (as you can probably see!) , my essay is perfectly written in longhand and I am now typing it up, is there not a programme that I can read my notes to and it will type them up.

I am sure I ahve seen one somewhere, QVC I think.

You need speech recognition software. Dragon Naturally Speaking is the most well known I think, don't know about price. Takes a bit of training (for your voice) tho, a colleague at work is using & it's taken her a while. And you'll need a decent microphone (tho maybe s/w comes with it?) Cheap version might not be worth the money as it's a relatively sophisticated technology? Try some reviews sites or Which? etc?
