Where can I find old empty books?

Like the kind of book they open at the beginning of a fairy tale?

I used to have one of these as a child and it felt magical opening it to write stories in. Have you contacted printers and book binders?

I need the books to stay open by themselves.

The old fashioned ledgers used by some businesses must come from somewhere but I imagine they'd cost quite a bit.

Have you looked on Ebay?

Can you buy an old leather bound book from a charity shop/junk shop and somehow take out the pages and attach the innards of a new blank book inside?
