We got a bush baby backpack and it's really comfy even though now DS is nearly 2 and weighs 13kg.

Little Trekkers do the little life one.. £9.99 link I've always founf them to be reliable

shazronnie · 18/08/2006 14:34

mine is made by lindam like this

Tommy · 18/08/2006 14:39

lummox at not allowed out until he's 5.
I was walking DS1 and his little friend to their new school for the afternoon a few weeks ago and I told then that if they ran off like that in September I would put them both in wrist straps....

I have a little life one, ds loves it. V.well made, little strap that fastens across the chest is good. But I don't tend to use it much as a reins replacement - if you pull on it, the pulling point is right on their neck so it just unbalances them whereas reins it's more the middle of the back iyswim.

lummox · 19/08/2006 12:42

thanks for all the replies. stiglet - that's link is cheaper than the others i've seen.

tommy - aah, i pine for the time ds is able to understand threats .

shazronnie, the lindam one looks nice. and it seems to have an extra handle which is good, but i have a feeling ds will not think it looks boyish enough.

accqueen - useful tip that, as ds is only 14 months so still a bit unsteady on his pins. maybe we are better of with reins and have the backpack as stage 2.

What a fab idea! Have just bought a littlelife one on Ebay - £10.99 + £1.50 postage. Well pleased and I know DD will love it!

madmarchhare · 19/08/2006 15:54

Use any backpack with a wrist strap attached.

accessorizequeen · 19/08/2006 20:01

LOL at stage 2 of restraining your child DS 2.8 now so now problems unbalancing him - this has reminded me to look out the wrist strap again & attach it to the backpack!
