Best sun cream for kids?

We are due to go away, we went abroad last year and it was really hot, I haven't managed to find a good sun cream, what do you use on your kids abroad? What factor 30? 50?
Our dd has really sensitive skin and one we used last year brought her out in an awful rash!
Anyone have any good recommendations please.

I am a self proclaimed expert in sun-creme for kids Grin

DD has very (very) sensitive skin so I did a bit of a market test and bought every one I could find and then did an in home trial based on price, level of protection, application, feel, and absorption

Best by a long long loooonnngggg way was "Neutogena wet skin kids beach and pool sunblock lotion"

It's in a blue tube

And for the face, "neutogena pure &free baby sunblock stick"

And couple those two with a proper skin protection swim top (rated for the sun - order it online if they are not in the shops) as well as a decent hat with wide brim

A little tip on hats - many toddlers don't want to wear them so get the hat and start wearing it every time you leave the house and are outdoors so they are used to it by the time you go on vacation

Wow thanks lady that's very helpful I shall be purchasing your recommendations, my dd is 8 still doesn't like wearing a hat, however she knows the rules and knows she needs to in the heat.

I love the banana boat powder dry. Excellent protection, non sticky and my hands don't feel horrible after I've been smothering them. I still primarily use clothing though, all dcs have UV tops and wear swim shorts that cover the tops of their thighs.

Ooooh lady noted!

I get one called sunsense as my son has eczema and others irritate his skin. It's expensive and has to be ordered in but well worth it, lovely easy to rub in stuff. I actually asked at Dr as others were causing him a rash, he Was lovely and gave me a prescription for a small bottle so I could try it out without expense. Worth asking?!

Agree with beccawoo, sunsense is excellent and only has good stuff in it (so is fine for younger bubs as well). Worth looking at
