Has anyone used the britax eclipse car seat with a lapbelt?

We have an 8 seater but when we go on a day out and the children's friends come we are always a seat short as we won't allow anyone to sit in the seat with a lapbelt but a friend suggested we buy an eclipse to use on the odd occasion we need the extra seat but if it's not 100% safe I'd rather just carry on the way we are.......
Have any of you used one? Thanks

I've used a britax seat that can be fitted with just the lap belt - pretty sure it was the eclipse. Was absolutely fine. I ensured I put my full weight into the car seat as I tightened the lap belt. It was rock solid!

Just checked on line - yes definitely the eclipse we had for our lap belt.
