I am trying it at the mo, I am 30 weeks pregnant with 3rd child, and have old ones on my stomach, I haven't seen much improvement yet, but I have no new ones either.

intergalacticwalrus · 14/08/2006 16:09

I'd be interested to know too. I was bragging to a friend about how I had no new stretchmarks from this pg a couple of weeks ago, and lo and behold, 4 or 5 days later, they appeared, and once again my abdomen looks like an AA road map.

Jackstini · 14/08/2006 16:14

I used it through preg and mine are minimal - they just came in last fews weeks like IGW's!
Am using now and they are fading (18 wks on). I have confidence though as I used it on a burn/scar last year and that has completely disappeared

Mascaraohara · 14/08/2006 16:19

Jackstini, just wondering.. how old was your burn/scar (if you don't mind me asking)

I haven't used it on stretch marks but am using it on a scar of DS's and it seems to be helping (although it might just be fading on its own, I suppose). It's a recent scar, though.

lemonaid · 14/08/2006 16:25

P.S. My stretch marks also came just in the last three weeks of pregnancy and faded v quickly, and I didn't use anything. I think sometimes that's just how they are

P.P.S. Bio Oil smells lovely, though, so I'd give it a try.

Mascaraohara · 14/08/2006 16:37

Oh I might give it a go then if it's not too pricey.

Watching with interest, have been thinking of trying it myself.

intergalacticwalrus · 14/08/2006 16:58

Think I might go forth and buy some, if only for damage limitation. I dream of wearing a bikini on holiday next year (although apart from the stretch marks, I have about 4 stone to lose. Feck)

I posted this the other day!

I got it for acne scars but found it was to greasy and gave me more spots, have used it on and off for streatch marks, not much differance but I am still a bit podgy and scars very bad due to huge first baby, It is lovely for the skin anyway.

Jackstini · 15/08/2006 21:47

Mascara - it was about a month old when I started using it. (Frying pan incident so waited for he blisters to fall off etc.) Took about 12 weeks to fade. Think it is about £9 so worth a go - good luck!

Carameli · 16/08/2006 13:05

I have been using it and think its great as well. Also just saw it was on a special offer in Boots yesterday.

Oblomov · 16/08/2006 13:13

I used it - and slapped it on , as much as I could - not worrying about the price at all.

I have practically no stretch marks.

But like, Lemonaid says, I think that some people are just more prone to stretchmarks and thus it doesn't make much difference if you use nothing at all, or the most expensive cream on the planet !
