I have 2 dogs a rabbit and 2 rats as well as 2 dd's and it is costing too much money. I seem to spend more money on my animals than I do on my kids (just seems like that). Does anyone know of a good site where I can get cheap pet supplies?? Any advice helpful. Thank you

Dont know about websites, but my pet shop lets me order a huge big bag of rat food for £16 and if i was to buy it in the little bags that they bag it up in to it would cost over £30. So maybe try that for the rabbits and the dogs dry food?

For the rats, why not just unleash them in a sewer when they're feeling peckish? Or drop them in a close up the toon and they'll be fine.

singyswife · 13/08/2006 20:34

Aww now, I couldnt do that to ma wee rats, anyway I dont have any closes doon the toon tae pit them doon!!!

Are there any of those pet food stores that you find down country roads near you?

How about a lovely landfill? Or a rubbish heap?

Have you got any skips about?

singyswife · 13/08/2006 20:43

Sorry I have never heard of Wilkinsons, we have a Pets at Home, god now I feel incredibly thick. Oh well, spongy brain will do that to you.

Thanks though

we get rabbit food/hay from the nursery, they do lots of animal foods, it works out quite cheap

singyswife · 13/08/2006 20:45

explain....I assume you are not a rat lover. They are lovely wee creatures and I wouldnt part with them. Each to their own though I appreciate that they are not for everyone.

I am a rat lover, I have 5, stinky little buggers
2 are asleep on the table behind me curled up like little dogs..

singyswife · 13/08/2006 20:55

Hiya, asleep on the table???? Mine are safely in their cage for now, I had 3 but now only have two and one of them is a biter. The other one (the oldest) is lovely though, she likes a cuddle and really likes to much on Cherios. Do you let your rats run about then??
