What sort of bed should we buy for 11mth DS?

DS is nearly 11mths old and is currently sleeping in a normal sized cot. He's getting a little big for it (he's a big baby - about 25lbs) and we're wondering if we should get a cot bed or just go straight to getting a toddler bed (or whatever). It would still need bars of some sort as he is standing up in the cot in the mornings. Any suggestions?

I think you just have the urge to spend some money!
Your DS will be fine in the "normal" cot until he is old enough for a toddler bed - IMO that won't be for another year!!

DS is 21 mths & is in a cotbed but we're struggling to find good toddler duvet covers so from a purely aesthetic choice I'd hang on & go to a proper bed at the last minute!

I would try and hang on for a while if you can. DD went into a toddler bed at 18 months (hated her cot), so I'd try and leave it a few more months.
