in my desparate search for the ideal double buggy, just wondered if anyone has the First Steps double buggy. is it as good as it looks, worth the expense, how wide is it really and where is the best place to get it???

any comments are greatly appreciated...

Ive had hell getting a double buggy, have 2 babies little girl is 20 months little man 6 months, first I bought child wheels giant buggy thing because it had carry cot thingy for little man, fabulous I thought...............so not!!! Absolutely massive contrary to adverts it does not fit through most doorways so I ended up outside all the time!!! Oh yeah it broke! Firstly the front wheel rubbed against basket and wore it away and then other things broke such as the seat to name 1!! Took it back to nice lady in the shop she gave me money back so I bought Maclaren Twin XT, quite good to start with, easy to push provided you dont want to use the baskets and not so good up hills or when the babies get bigger, chunky little monkeys! I have finally bought a fab pram made by Emmaljunga, babies can either face me or away from me, seats are high up so it doesn't seem as if you are dragging their little bots along the floor and the seats recline independantly, is also very very roomy for them both and my two beautiful little minchkins love it!!! I always wanted one that face me becuase I got sick of people smoking in the street and not caring what was behind them when they flicked they're cigarettes!! Sorry to go on, just dont want you to waste money like me!!!

I am also looking at this pram. It's only been out as a double pram for the last few months. I am looking at getting one from Babybirds.co.uk as apparently they are the cheapest.£299 PLUS free del. They do extras like the cot but I decided to not bother with the cot as the pram can be used from birth and we already have a m&p pram with a cot that we use as a moses basket.

I did put a thread out a week ago asking if anyone has one..it's nice to see peoples views.

BTW if you go to a 1st wheels stockist as the website recommends you will be paying around £400..!!!

BTW dd will be 20 months in Jan when baby arrives, so ideal..I think..!!
