Corsages - right or wrong?

Various shops are selling pin-on corsages right now. Is it right or wrong to wear one would you say? And what about at work?

Fashionista opinions especially welcome...

Definatley RIGHT to wear one IMO!

I personally wouldn't wear to work though.

Like the denim jacket idea.

oliveoil · 10/03/2004 14:05

No. Was in a series of Sex and the City EONS ago which must mean they are off the fashion radar and very last season. Says me who wouldn't know fashion if it bit her on her bum,

Northerner · 10/03/2004 14:07

Well in this weeks issue of Closer, Helena Christianson is wearing a dusky pink jersy dress with corsage, and they say it is the look of the moment. So there.

Coddy · 10/03/2004 14:13

remember satc is VERY far ahead of itself

oliveoil · 10/03/2004 14:15

I think there is some confusion here which I would like to rectify ladies

Corsage flowers in a material trying to imitate a proper flower are out. Corsage flowers in other material (see Cacharel perfume ad), or in felt, etc... are in.

..............I think..............

Coddy · 10/03/2004 14:23

I htink thats what we emant

Like olive sounding like sh is on ricki lake tho

very funny

oliveoil · 10/03/2004 14:32

See, I didn't even now there were diff types. If you could all see me sat here in my asda jumper, my old maternity pants from H&M and my Clarks shoes from 3 years ago you would all laugh.

bundle · 10/03/2004 14:34

ahh, but will corsages go the way of pashminas and have a late flowering, back into fashion?

bundle · 10/03/2004 14:34

olive, that sounds lovely

oliveoil · 10/03/2004 14:35

Poo bum. Got work to do. Must fly my fashion friends. Don't be starting any trends without me.

scoobysnax · 11/03/2004 08:26

OK, I'm wearing mine at work today and have already had the comments "what's with the rosette?" and offers to water it etc...

I have said it is a water squirty flower

oliveoil · 11/03/2004 09:17

Saw v trendy chinese girl on the bus into work and she had a pink one on, looked good. I avoid chinatown as it is like a fashion parade of stylish women, always seem to put things together just right. I need a fashion makeover.

Coddy · 11/03/2004 13:13

let us do it OO
