Wow! Not that is expensive!

Hvae you seen this fairy wonderland new in ELC, and the matching ite,s such as the fairy children bedroom set and flower fairies. Slightly cheaper option maybe!

edam · 06/08/2006 10:11

Blimey, that's an arm and a leg! Mad. Although someone once posted about a very expensive new lego set - space station or something - and a poster pointed out it was for grown-up collectors. Maybe this is actually aimed at the sort of women who have 100 soft toys on their bed?

(I was going to point out the extra asterisks and then though that would be too pedantic even for me.)

Moomin · 06/08/2006 10:15

hulababy - that's fab. didn't even think of looking in elc as didn't know they did it! of course the fairy wonderland is out of stock online (natch) but might be able to get from a shop. her b'day isn't until sept so i've got some time. that fits the bill brilliantly. thanks so much!!

btw anyone ever bought/used any ello stuff? saw this in ebay and wondered about it as well - dd is well into her arts and crafts.

I doubt that's the lego original price, it's just someone taking the p.

Here is one for sale in the US, at $29.99.

Lilliput · 06/08/2006 10:30

There is a whole shop in Totnes in Devon devoted to all things to do with fairies and ballerinas. It's a little girls heaven. It's called Fairies on the Rise (I think), I think they do mail order.

Lilliput · 06/08/2006 10:33

bugger I can't find details, sorry totally useless

LIZS · 06/08/2006 10:47

dd had some Ello last year and was passingly interested but now forgotten. Got the new ELC catalogue eyatserday and saw the new Fairy thing which dd would love for her b'day. Not sure if it may yet add to the playset clutter along with Playmobil and Little People though. She already has this and this which get played with endlessly and are starting to look a little battered in spite of laminating the fairy characters. There now seems to be another one in the series here !

Moomin · 06/08/2006 11:01

thanks for that link fanjo, i found that too. have decided that i'll order the elc one even though it's not in stock and they'll send when it comes in. if i find one in a shop before i'll just cancel. the one in the US will cost £30 with postage anyway.

LIZS, those books look nice. might point mil in that direction when she's looking for ideas (although i don't deserve any nice treatment from her the way i've gone on about her on the irritating in-laws thread!)

Moomin - a lot of the new items fromt he new catalogue are showing up as out of stock on the website. Not sure why - maybe they haven't come in yet. Just keep trying.

4yo DD got some Ello for her birthday and she enjoys playing with it.
