my hug-a-bub has arrived but totally baffled as to how to use it. watched the instructional dvd but can't try it out yet as dd2 is asleep.
tried a teddy but didn't quite have ssame effect as an actual baby does it.

Does it get any easier to put on thru pratcice?

Yes -- it is still a bit of a faff but gradually gets easier. I did end up going for other carriers/slings if I knew I was going to have to take DS out and put him back in several times, rather than go through the whole Hug-a-bub thing each time, but it was great when DS was little and definitely the most comfortable on my back and shoulders.
