Bought some today because they were so much more comfy than the nikes but was wondering if they are a bit frumpy or not?

They are excellent in terms of support, don't know what to say about Frumpy though!

Blossomhill · 02/08/2006 22:04

I don't want to be a frump

Not frumpy Bh - seriously fit folks wear Asics.

I wear them, don't really get on with any other make - I'm not seriously fit but I'm *not frumpy either!

thanks saggers. They felt so much more comfortable than the nikes. The thing is at the gym I am currently wearing Reebok Classics and they feel like lead weights on my feet.
Oh glad you answered this. Just wanted to say how much emotional your montage made me. You have such a lovely family

Aaww thank you Bh.

I wear them too... went to a proper "running" shop where you run across this mat & they can see where you put the most pressure on your foot, where you need the most support etc. Love my asics Really comfy, if not the trendiest looking. BTW, don't ever machine wash them - it destroys all the hi-tec cushioning stuff!!!

Blossomhill · 03/08/2006 09:45

saltcod ~ so how do you clean them then?

Asics are what "real" runners wear!

saltcod · 03/08/2006 09:49

um.... I don't . But seeing as I only ever run on a treadmill in a gym, they don't really get that dirty! I've put the laces through the wash a couple of times, but that's it! You'd be fine sponging them down & giving them a bit of a surface wash if need be. I used to chuck all my trainers in the washing machine..... little sis was horrified when she found out (she's a "proper" runner!!).

Maybe I should wear old trainers to gym and cahnge into new ones when I get there so they don't get dirty?
