I want to lend/give a book to dd.
She has a kindle registered on her tablet.
I have a separate account. I know I can have 4 devices registered to my account. If i register her tablet to my account, will she have to deregister her kindle from her account and will she lose her books from that account IFSWIM

Hi there
Yes, you can only have one account on a Kindle at any time, so she'll have to de-register and link up with yours instead. Her books will remain on her account though so she can get them back if she re-registers or view them via a kindle app/reader on a pc.

Are there many of your books you would like her to have access to? I think there are ways of sharing books through Calibre but I don't know the details and think that's illegal as you're removing the copy protection.

Thanks we deregistered her kindle in the end, signed into my account and she's read the book already and back on her account.
