It's my best friend's birthday at the end of March and she mentioned recently that our local (small) branch of Boots had stopped carrying this range (it's a range of hair care products for black/afro hair). Clever me thought - aha..I will get her some for her birthday. Only I can't find them anywhere, not online Boots, and a search through google doesn't help. Does anyone know if they have stopped making them altogether?

Hi MM

I have not heard of this product. Where does she live? Do you have a specialist black hair product shop near you? Luckily, for me, Croydon has quite a few

Would she be happy to use any other products?

Sorry, not much help, but I'll be out and about in Croydon this week, so I'll try and look out for the name.

Hang on a minute ... had to order them directly from their salon in London for the same reason ... will go and get the box and post again!

It's www.radicaldesignltd.co.uk then click on the urban therapy range. Noticed some are out of stock so perhaps they are discontinuing them. Good luck - what a lovely idea!

I knew MNers wouldn't let me down Thanks for that address, carla (it also says Asda stock them - may have a trip to see). Lady P, we are in Macclesfield (Cheshire) - no specialist black hair places nearby (pretty much in the sticks, really).

Thankyou again!

Know what you mean sb! Why would anyone by a hair product named after Twisted Sister??????

Levanna · 07/03/2004 18:25

Hi, I was going to say ASDA stock it.......but see now you've already found that out!
They often seem to have some of the products in 'quality save' or 'home bargain' type shops too

marthamoo · 07/03/2004 19:33

Been to Asda and got some - 20 mile round trip, but she IS my best mate and I love her to bits

sb and tinker - reason I couldn't find it online is that I was spelling it wrong: it's Twisted Sista. Google came up with loads of scary pictures of hairy men in tight trousers when I put "Twisted Sister" in

I'm also getting her a copy of "The Red Tent" as recommended on MN - my first stop for advice, info and hair care product availability checks.

Thanks again Lady P, carla and Levanna
