looking to get a bit fitter, can you suggest one that is aerobics based, and doesn't get on your nerves really quickly

I really love Cindy Crawford's 'Next Challenge'. It's from 1993 but is really really good and not at all cheesy or pink leotardy. I've done it for the past 5 years.

You do stretches, then about 20 mins aerobics, but quite interesting, different moves like lunges, kicks, jumps etc. There's really quite a lot of variation with the movements, even the squats.

Then you do about 30 minutes toning, arms (with weights), shoulders, back and stomach.

I usually just do the first aerobics bit, then some of the toning. But sometimes I'll stop the tape and do some of the aerobics moves twice..

Have had very good results and you really feel like every bit of you has been worked out and you're quite puffed. It's a very good 'workout in a tin' which covers off all the bases.

I really recommend it!

I started Davina McCall Power of 3 last Monday. Its bloody hard work, and its in three section: legs and bums; upper body; and abdominals and bums. It hurts like hell, but I have done it 5 times now and its getting easier, although still hard work. I certainly feel so much better and believe it or not my clothes are not quite so tight as they were a week ago. I do it first thing in the morning, with DS giggling at me. It sets me up for the day. Definitely worth a try.

I used to do Davina before i got lazy and up the spout.

It does work but it hurts like buggery the first few times you do it. It makes it easier becuase Davina's smiley in a non patronising way!

I will 2nd Davina's power of 3.
Im still impressed with your early morning exercise expectantmum!

Thank you Tortoise! Yep, was up doing it at 8am this morning! Am gonna do it again tomorrow (but need to be up earlier cos I missed the postie this morning!). Will have a break Wednesday, as taking DS for his MMR and won't have time to do it, and then will do it for the remainder of the week. Its getting much easier and am slowly starting to notice. My DH said my mummy tummy was getting flatter, so it must be doing something!
