Hi all
I'm looking for opinions on which cars to consider. I have a citroen Picasso which generally has been a good plenty of leg room, boot space and lots of handy pockets. My only problem really is it's a bit thirsty and on occasion doesn't have enough seats. ..!!I have 3 children currently aged 8,4 & 2 oh and a husband lol. So a 5 seater it's fine but would like to pick up my childrens friends at times. So I'm wanting a car that's primarily a 5 seater but can be a 7 seater if need. Some I've looked at (quite awhile ago now so could be different ones on the market now) have the fold up type seats that even once folded still make boot small. I don't do many long journeys 90% of my journeys only last 10-15mins..!! So something economical too.

Have a look at our recommendations for cars under £10K that can fit three kids in a row - they're all seven-seaters. But you'll also want to hear from Mumsnetters who are actually running these cars, so let's hope this bumps things along a bit too.
