We currently have an HP deskjet printer attached to our PC which I need to upgrade as we have recently purchased a digital camera, and want to be able to print our photos.

The initial outlay isn't my main concern I want something that isn't too expensive on replacement print cartridges.

Thanks

We have had an Epson Stylus Photo 890 for 3 years now for printing photos and it's been great. We have tried using the cheap 'compatible' cartridges but found it to be a false economy as they ran out quicker, so now we use genuine Epson ones - there are lots of websites where you can get them cheaper than direct from Epson

I've tried printing from printers and nothing compares with getting a company to print them off. www.photobox.co.uk despatch the same day you order so they're almost as quick as doing it yourself and I find the quality miles better. I think there may well be cheaper places around by now but I like getting the photos the day after so haven't really hunted around.

Thanks for your replies. I didn't even realise you could get them printed properly. Doh !! That probably makes more sense, as when it's a good picture, esp of the kids I need two or three copies.
