a few weeks ago I was desperate for some nice sweatshirts for dds - something for when it gets a bit cool in the summer evenings, something to wear after going swimming etc (little did I know we were going to have a heatwave). I seriously struggled to find anything at all that I liked and ended up with some quite shitey ones from Next. Now blummin Boden autumn range has got some lovely ones . If you click on the thing on here and then on kids they come up straight away. but why in the autumn range?

I feel sorry for your dds if you're wanting them to wear sweatshirts in this heat...

Whilst I do find it frustrating that shops sell to such narrow seasons (and usually 3 months ahead of the season as well), it certainly doens't come as a surprise anymore. I was frustrated to find that ds1 had outgrown or torn several pairs of shorts 2 weeks ago. I was totally unable to find any to fit him in the shops (other than some rugby shorts in the back to school range!), but then I had thought that I'd done all of my summer shopping back in April.

I remember going into Accessorize in February and being unable to buy any gloves. Coz of course no-one but a complete fool would loose a glove in February. You're meant to be buying flip flops. You're quite right of course - dds have never actually had to wear the shitey Next sweatshirts! but I was preparing for a standard British summer.
