Hi all.
Well we are looking at alot of diffreent cars, mainly 7 seaters as i'm having my 3rd soon. We looked at the new Ford S-Max yesterday and i love it. It looks like a big car but is so spacious and had room for the dog.
But it only has isofix points on the 2 outer seats in the middle row. That would be fine at first as we'd want dd1 in the middle of the little ones but in future i'm assuming we'd need more. Is there a reason not to have isofix points everywhere? DP says there must be a reason in a brand new model!

I'm confused, can anyone shed any light?

I think that's pretty much standard - Isofix points aren't currently generally present in the middle seat, nor in the third row. When DD is in a booster rather than a car seat (about 3yo -ish depending on weight) you don't need the isofix point as the Which? report says they offer no more prtection at booster stage than the non-isofix boosters, in fact the Jane one scored a fair bit worse

seems to be quite standard now unfortunately.
We had a 2001 Sharan which did have Isofix in the centre seat but no 3 point belt there. Our newer cars have 3 point belts everywhere but Isofix only on the outside.
I now have a Toyota Corolla verso 7 seater btw and love it.

How was your holiday???

How strange!
It just means dd1 will be limited to where she sits as the baby seats will need the isofix points!

Geegrrl, it was AMAZING. BLESS YOU.
The owner was lovely and we are definately going back . Our only regret was not booking 2 weeks. Are you or your partner German btw?

oh good! I was worried you might not like it or something.
I'm German, we were there with my parents (who are obviously also German). Ours was the first entry in the visitors' book.

I really want to go back, too. Lovely place.

Geekgrrl, we have the same and love it to bits too - big on the inside, compact on the outside, esp when parking

they're great cars, aren't they? Dh has an older verso (2001) from new and it's never had anything wrong with it.
I love mine, they seats are cool. Particularly after having that awful Sharan with heavy lift-out seats etc.

Oh i'll have to check that car out too then.

Yes i mentioned to the owner about you recomending the place and he said, 'Oh the German lady?'
The dd's loved it. They were paddling at 9 every night!
