DAB Radio Recommendations

Breadrollsbuns · 14/01/2014 20:25

My (very cheap) DAB radio in the kitchen has broken, leaving a Radio 4 shaped hole in my life which needs to be filled immediately!

I quite like the Roberts Revival radios, but the reviews are awful - apparently, the leather peels regardless of cleaning/lack of cleaning/usage. So that's off the list.

I also quite like the Pure Evoke Mio Orla Kiely radios. Does anybody have one and, if so, what is your view? Or, are there any others that anyone would recommend?

Thanks!

Hi -

Don't have ones you mention, but I have had a Vita Audio system for several years, which is good, and particularly easy to use once it is tuned in to DAB stations. It also connects to my hi-fi system, and the newer models have i-pod dock connections. It is marketed by Ruark, which is a well established hi-fi company:

Thanks ferguson. I ended up going for the Pure Evoke and, so far, I'm really pleased with it - add it to your list of possibles when you're next in need of a DAB!

Had our Roberts Revival 2+ years and no sign of peeling leather...

I love my Roberts revival. Brilliant radio. My first one did peel after about 5 years, I contacted them and had to pay postage to send it back, but they sent me a brand spanking new one in return :-) I think they may have adapted to leather now so it doesn't peel, but if it does I shall get this one replaced too!
