When I was pregnant with ds1 (now 22 months) I ordered lots of stuff from funmum. The black trousers were fab and I wore them out and I really loved the catalogue etc. I then ordered some more things which I didnt like, (paid for it) and sent it back. I phoned a couple of times to make sure I was going to get my money back and was assured that I was.

2 days later they went bankrupt owing me £40. Now I know this isnt a great deal of money but it is the principle of the matter. If they do this to 10 people then that is £400!!

I only realised they were back in business from another thread and feel very indignant!! I got lots of letters from their Solicitors asking if I wanted to sue and then was told there was no money and I wouldnt get it back!!

Anyone else got experience of this?

If they were a limited company their losses can be limited and therefore you won't get your money back!!

They can literally go bust one day and start up the next with a slightly different name and hey presto all their previous debts have no effect on them!!

Humph!! They emailed me and said that it had gone bankrupt and has opened again with the same name and I WONT get my money back. Disgraceful...thought the black maternity trousers were great!!
