Is it a Paperwhite? I had this problem on holiday & looked on Kindle fora - I discovered this is an Amazon known problem. I wish I'd known before I bought a Paperwhire.

Disable wifi security. Then connect. I had this issue.

If it's a net gear router this will solve it. And a normal kindle (ie not fire)

You only need to connect wirelessly once to set it up.

I have the same problem. My kindle wouldn't connect to our new wifi after we moved house.

We get non-cable broadband from VirginMedia, and it seems to be an unfixable problem. I just take my kindle into work now when I need to add stuff.

I'll never buy one again though, and will stick to the App in future.
