Anyone have a QUIET/SILENT fan???

No doubt this has been discussed recently, but it's hot, I'm 2mths pg and can barely keep my eyes open to do a search right now.

Can anyone recommend a very very quiet room fan, preferably one of those oscillating tower type ones.

DD's room is unbearably hot so we leave a fan on in her room, except it sounds like an (occupied) aircraft hangar, and makes the monitor hiss all night.

I'm happy to spend up to £50 for silence and cool(er) air

Anyone have this one or this one ? Both Bionaire ones from John Lewis.

TIA x

The only silent one I've come across is my Mum's ceiling fan (from B&Q). Bit big for a child's room though but she says it's the best thing she's ever bought. It's remote control so she lays in bed being wafted with cool air without leaping up and down switching it on and off. You might want to invest in one for your room - we are when we redecorate!

Oooh, thanks

DD's room is quite a good size, do you happen to have a link to the model, or a model name??

I will have a look ....

seems you can't buy them online but if you click on this link and scroll down to ceiling fans the one pictured is the one my Mum has. Don't know how much though.
