any recommendations? am fed up of second-rate hair cuts in surburban shopping rows that just do kids and old ladies - but the only other option seems to be paying a fortune. Can anyone recommend a really good - but reasonably priced - place?

Hmm. The only childrens hairdressers I know in Kingston was just off the apple market near the Bishop and The Entertainer (toy store). I haven't been back home for a year so it's possible that its a) shut down or b) ridiculously expensive.

It had just opened before I left for Oz, so can't give much more info, but it was just for children.

In typing, I suspect it is probably ridiculously expensive, so perhaps exactly not what you are looking for.

I think you mean Ethan Roux? very posh looking place. it's still there but couldn;t get through - looked not quite my thing anyway. I've now found an adult type place - Daniel Gordons (across the road from Ethan Roux)who do it for £8 so am happy. (pending results of course!)

if it is a boy's haircut, then the barber shop in Ham Parade (as you leave Kingston going towards Richmond) is fantastic. They do a loyalty scheme where you get every 5th cut half price. They have boxes of toys to play with and lollies at the end.
