Has anyone found a good cheap buggy ?

I am looking for 2 cheap buggys, umbrella folding, pref with reclining seats, pref with a canopy, for under £20 (each). Have scoured various web sites/shop but haven't come across a good value one yet which include the above features. Has anyone found a bargain buggy, or am I seeking the impossible ?

never heard of Ethel Austin surely....

recently there was a thread asking about what designer clothes labels you wore. I juvenilely put 'Ethel Austin' and the OP wrote in all seriousnss 'I have never heard of her. Is it a desgner label then?'. I didn't have the heart to tell her I was taking the piss....

podkin · 24/07/2006 09:11

Mothercare buggys are £30 for one which reclines.

Ethel Austin sounds like my kind of designer shop

but be aware as only a basic buggy as no recliners on it

biglips · 24/07/2006 10:36

biglips · 24/07/2006 10:37

biglips · 24/07/2006 10:40

emmawill · 24/07/2006 10:40

Have you had a look around any carboot sales? If you get there early theres always lots of stalls saling baby stuff, I got a lovely toddler bed yesterday for £15 I give everything a good clean and it saves me a fortune.

biglips · 24/07/2006 10:42

not ALL free delivery!

mustrunmore · 24/07/2006 11:00

The red strollers in Argos are really good.

Kelly1978 · 24/07/2006 11:10

are you going on holiday soon? If so, wait til then. I got two from carrefour recently, 15 euros each!

JessaJam · 24/07/2006 11:17

You could also try ebay?

podkin · 24/07/2006 11:42

thanks all. Will try Asda, ARgos all sold out at the moment (of the cheaper ones). Ebay ends up as expensive as elsewhere plus not into bidding (I prefer to sell stuff on there). I like the idea of Carrefour - we are going through Calais in 3 weeks time - bit risky though as if we can't get them we are stuffed...thanks for tips everyone

"Can be reserved for store pick up, subject to stock
Currently out of stock for home delivery" so you can reserve it if u wanna chance it

podkin · 24/07/2006 12:30

Spot on biglips ! This is the one I had my eye on but it is out of stock in all my nearest stores plus out of stock for home delivery. Will do a text back thingy where they text you when it is back in stock and see what happens.
