Hot Tubs - non chemical treatment

Does anyone have any advice on the best non chemical treatments for hot tubs?

I can't bare the chemical smell so want to switch to something more natural but I'm not sure of the best product to use?

You can get an oxygen based one which has no shell at all but it is expensive
