DS loves his scooter & stealing other kids bikes in the park... So I thought a balance bike for Christmas would be a great gift.... But which one?!
MN please help me decide Grin

Not much help here but they are all pretty much the same no mechanics to them so go for a reasonably priced on and not too expensive. We got a wooden one on eBay £15 sold it 2 years later for £15, happy days!

The smallest balance bikes are the Puky LRM and Strider :)

Or Early Rider lite. 18m is v young for one though? I would think by the summer he'll be off, depends whether you want him to have something he can use straightaway.

My very tiny 19 month old was big enough for the Puky LRM. He was less than 80cm tall at the time.

Have you thought about a toddlebike (www.toddlebike.co.uk)? We have one for our 16mo. They are very light and manoeuvrable for little ones. You can hook it on the pushchair when they've had enough! Not hugely expensive at around £25.

ooh, grezt ideas here. thank you. never heard of a toddlebike... will look up now.

We got ds a Ybike of ebay at that age although I think at 2 he really took to it. It's great at that age as it's got two wheels together so easier to balance,it's low and the front wheel/ handle bars only turn so far, so he didn't come off it much. Plus it looks like a motor bike! Depends how good they are at balancing though, my ds only walked at 16 months so was still learning.
