Hi I currently have an Advent laptop which is shockingly crap. No space for a desktop pc. I want to buy a macbook and make the change from windows to apple however I have a few questions which id like some non biased opinions on plz. Firstly does a macbook open Pdf and word documents? Or do I have to buy a special programme to do it? Also what about powerpoint if I need to do a presentation? Or windows movie maker for makong films? And does it work on websites that require adobe flash? As I know the ipods and ipads dont.I also heard you domt need any spyware programmes or antivirus as apple has its own is this correct? Thank you

Yes you can open PDF's
Yes you can open Word and PowerPoint if you buy a version of Microsoft Office for Mac (although there are others such as Apple Pages or OpenOffice)
Yes to Flash
Not sure about movie making, it won't be Windows Movie maker but something else will be available.
True about viruses.
HTH!

You're welcome Smile

I have a MacBook Pro at home and absolutely hate using my work Windows laptop now.
