anyone had any experience of this?

I haven't seen it, but it's a lot of money for a kids camera. dd (4) has our old digital one and can manage perfectly well with the ordinary sized buttons. the FP one says it's extra tough too I know, but kids shouldn't actually be chucking cameras around anyway. why don't you have a look on ebay for 1Mpix or less cameras - they go for 10-20 quid (or did last time I looked).
