Am trying to pack bag for hospital. What is the difference between a sleepsuit, a bodysuit and a baby vest?

A sleepsuit has a body arms legs and usually feet. A body suit has arms and no legs and a body and a vest has no arms or legs. Mostly you have them in a vest and a sleepsuit depending ont the weather. I think body suits are usually more like tops to be tucked into trousers or skirts.

Just don't have ones that are done up the back, too fiddly, Also baby nightdresses for boys or girls are great, no poppers to do in the middle of the night. Not in many shops though.

Bodysuits can be used as a vest. Mainly for winter babies though.

Both bodysuits and baby vests do up under the nappy with poppers.

am i very bad not to put a vest/bodysuit under my babies clothes?

NannyL · 08/07/2006 19:34

in this hot weatehr a baby will probably not want or need a body suit / vest under his or her clothes!

re vest under clothes, I only ever put vests under sleepsuits in very cold weather!

But i have a hot little boy, it depends on how warm your house is and how warm your baby is

Vests and bodysuits can also help keep nappies up, IYSWIM.
