bing bong avon calling.. do they stil do arabian nights bronzer!

BadHair · 07/07/2006 22:14

Lipstick is mostly rubbish - wears off really quickly.
Colour charts are not very accurate, either. I have in my possession a hideously pink nail varnish that looked a sort of muted rose/raspberry colour. And a purple one that looked dark red.
Jewellery is hypoallergenic, though, and usually quite unusual. I have 2 lovely necklaces that everyone asks about when I wear them, but sometimes the selection is just cak. Varies month to month.

The colour charts are notoriously naff, but if you get something you don't like, let the rep know and she'll get it exchanged or refunded.

Its "DING DONG Avon Calling" ha ha

I'm an Avon Rep - good stuff at the mo is the SENSES Body Scrub - £1 in Brochure 12. I bought £12 worth of make up and got the Sienna make up bag filled with £22 worth of goodies, you get that deal too. The mascara is fantastic - better than the Virgin Vie one I used to wear.

Arabian Glow still on sale.

Sun tan lotions and bronzers are on a brilliant deal - let me check - ooh all half price.

You can always ask your rep for samples - I would be very happy to provide samples to my customers. Lipsticks, foundations, SSS body gel, Senses shower girl, perfumes etc

Gawd - don't bother - it's all cheap crap - buy some good stuff instead !

moondog · 07/07/2006 22:51

Gavin,I disagree.
I am a huge snob but their studff is good and cheap.Anew range especially,
I laught at the people spending a fortune on emulsified fat and water these days.

Gavin · 07/07/2006 22:53

I'm not a snob whatsoever - but really - I'm a trained beauty therapist (and no I am not really a man !) and have to say that Avon stuff is not at all good quality - I'd rather have NO cosmetics than have Avon.

moondog · 07/07/2006 23:07

Wot,as about to an untrained one????

karenj1980 · 07/07/2006 23:13

PNut- if you want it, buy it. If you are looking at a specific product just ask me and I will give an honest opinion.

mrsbang · 07/07/2006 23:15

Like everything else, Avon do some good stuff, and some cr*p.
