Why does it allow my dd to tip backwards in it?

Every time i have put her in it she pushes up with her legs and tips it up,i thought it was supposed to be safe?
I havent got my mothercare receipt will they have it back?it has hardly been used!

[finds out what on earth a bébé pod is]

how old is she?
maybe she just doesn't like it or isn't used to it yet - is very different experience from bouncing chair etc

worth trying to take it back but they don't have to.

She is 25 weeks on sunday.
So i mailed prince lion heart and they have said to post it to them so they can run check's on it to ensure it isn't defective.Dont know whether to bother or chance mother care?

id take it back to motehrcare...

at the end of the day it is not fit for purpose of putting you dd in it cause she is not safe in it cause it tips back wards...

therefor under sale of goods act 1979 the product is not fit for purpose and you are entitled to a refund.... as long as you can reasonably show you purchased it there.... for example a bank / credit card statement (or receipt that you dont have) that shows the transaction is good enough proof

you can also argue that it is not "if reasonable quality" (again because it tips back)

Quote the above at them and you should have a refund straight away

ask straight away to see the manager... and if they even think about argueing tell them you will see them in the small claims court.... also kick up a HUGE fuss...

BTW i had a problem with a 15 month old out of garantee buggy once... spent over 40mins on the 1st (of many) visits demanding that they at least send it back to Maclaren Without charging me (mean while i let 2 year old play with ANYTHING he wants to in the shop .... argued and argued and argued...

after a few visits when the buggy kept not being back (oh yes factory decided we had to pay for the repair.... argued and argued and argued that one as well while 2 year old demolished all the toy displays) and i eventually got a full refund on original purchase price of buggy... even though the price had since come down by £30
