About to purchase highchair for dd1 as one we had for ds now a bit skanky. Does anyone have the Stokke Tripp Trapp or the Babydan one and are they worth the money? Anyone with any others they would recommend?

I bougt a Babydan one and it is definetly worth it, got it due to quite small house and the lack of cumbersome tray sits us just fine!! Did buy off E bay though to save a few quid, it was £56 all in and was brand new!! Good LUck

yes. we have a real stokke one and a tchibo sort of one. both very good, much better than horrid plastic ones wtih trays

hoxtonchick · 06/07/2006 16:53

tchibo copy is ace

PiccadillyCircus · 06/07/2006 16:54

Really must put together our tchibo one .

are they easy to adjust to any table height? we are also lacking in space so thought the ability to actually sit up to the table would be great.

I got mine free off social service but she still uses her stokke chair and she is nearly 7
and her and ds fight over it

very please with our stokke, for looks as much as anything else. it was nice to have ds sit with us at the table from when he was very small. and now he's bigger, he can climb in and out of it himself, which is 99% of the time an advantage.

wanderingstar · 06/07/2006 17:04

Stokke definitely worth the money. Mine's on it's 4th child. Ds1 and 2 used to use it, after it was a high chair, to sit at their respective little desks in their rooms for drawing etc. Then dd and now ds3 used it.

phillip (I dont know who you are) but dd has special needs and the stokkee chair has adaptations that fit onto it which make it ideal for alot children with physical disabilities. DD just had the normal design though

Alan · 06/07/2006 17:05

and thats why social services buy that one

phillip · 06/07/2006 17:06

i thought that was it alan (re: adaptations) but just overwhelmed at thought of them buying the right thing...marvellous news

(it's me, bundle )

Yes we have stokke for both DS (6) and DD (2) and they work really well. They are a bit bulky though. Worth looking on ebay but got ours from Kiddicare, they did a deal with the babyset don't know if they still do?

Pinotmum · 06/07/2006 18:03

Ds still sits on his and he will be 4 yo in October.

cjmummy · 06/07/2006 19:02

babydan is excellent too - I got ours by posting on the wanted section here on mumsnet! great value, thanks again alibubbles! but the tchibo looks great if I were to buy new.

divamummy · 06/07/2006 22:35
