not sure whether this is a useful suggestion but we bought an inflatable double bed that goes to the height of a real bed but folds away to the size of a sleeping bag, very useful for guests and very comfy, only 60 pounds ish from littlewoods

We've got the Argos one. Well a slightly different model as we've had it 5 years. It is the most comfy bed in our house.
I love it when we have to sleep in them, get a great night sleep.
