I invested in a bumbo baby seat about a fortnight ago for my 14 week old DD and i wish they had been around when i had my first....I had to post this message for anyone who has a baby that doesnt like their bouncy chairs....my DD loves it she can sit up and interact with eveything that goes on she sits with me on the worksurface while im making her bottles as it wont shuffle along or tip over they are available at "bumps to 3" website and are £27 FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!

hated mine sold it on ebay, dd was too slim and she cold wriggle out of it, great for teething though!

Sounds like a sneaky advert to me.

Lisa78 · 22/02/2004 16:27

what on earth is a bumbo

21stcenturygirl · 22/02/2004 16:49

Sounds like a car seat to me (well that's what I used and was perfectly happy with!)

Hulababy · 22/02/2004 17:05

I have seen these and thought they'd be a good idea. Didn't see it until after DD was too old for one. There have been other threads on Bumbo's on MN before.

This is a bumbo.

FWIW I don't think Bumps to 3/GRobag are likely to be doing secret advertising here as they are pretty well known and reputable company already.

I agree Phattgal, one of the best baby purchases we made. DS is now 13 months and still sits in it even though he can escape now.

lou33 · 22/02/2004 18:53

I've never heard of them. Just thought it was oddly phrased that's all. Apologies if it's just my paranoia.

Slinky · 22/02/2004 19:00

Well, I've got 3 children and we all managed to survive perfectly OK without one Never heard of them until a few months ago!

I am amazed at the sorts of "must-have" baby products that are emerging onto the market!

Someone's selling one on the buying/selling noticeboard, I've just noticed.
