Does anyone know of a car, preferably one with quite a high driving position, but not necessarily a 4x4, that will fit three child seats in the back comfortably? Suggestions very welcome! Thanks!

if you can bear the styling I hear the Fiat Multipla's quite good...

vw touran has 7 seats you can remove centre seats to create more room. low insurance, low road tax. easy to park, high driving postion. i am delighted with mime esp as i went from a bmw m3

We have a Citroen Xsara Picasso.

It has 3 3 point seatbelts in the back, a high driving position and a decent sized boot.

You can also switch off the front passenger airbag too (if you wanted to put a car seat in the front).

oh and AIR CONDITIONING as standard

It was one of the cheaper mpv's and i love it, personally.

I really wanted all the above and the picasso fitted all criterias - particularly the high driving position. I dont like feeling like im laying on the road when driving iykwim.

another vote for the fiat multipla. we bought ours last Christmas, after arrival of third child.

i tried to fit 3 cars seats in several cars that claimed to take them & coulndt get them in. I coulndt get 3 in the picasso.

I guess they often mean they have 3 seat belts or can take 3 kids ( but not 3 seats).

Fiat Multipla - I love mine ( it has a 'face' that only it's mother could love though )

Nissan tino. we have two jane isofix seats and a britax eclipse in the back. loads of leg room and boot space. dh has to have the passenger seat right back, and dd1 legs dont get squashed.

Thanks those are all really helpful. Yes I have the problem that they say you can fit 3 car seats in a car, and mine is a RAV 4, but in reality it takes a hell of a lot of pushing, pulling and exertion!!
