How can I transfer kindle book to a nook?

Dh has a nook but a series of books is cheaper in kindle format - can I buy them in kindle format and then how would I move them to a nook

It's very tricky but involves a hack to remove the DRM then using a program to convert to e-pub.

The conversion is the easier part though.
