Play clay

I'm looking for play clay that air dries. There's atuff in ELC. Anyone used it? Any good? Can you paint it? How long before it's dry enough to paint?

TIA!

It's good, I think - quite easy for young ones to squidge around. You can paint it once dry (it is a rather nasty grey colour otherwise) and I would say it takes about 2 or 3 days to be completely hard.

model magic by crayola is good too, it's white and air dries, then you can paint it or even use felt pens

do you know how long model magic takes to dry?

I haven't used Model Magic but I know it's a lot more expensive than ELC clay, if cost is a factor.

it doesn't take long, i wait a day, but you can paint it when its 'wet'. it costs about £7 but you get lots.

I stand corrected, that is not lots pricier at all. I will try that sort next time myself I think

i just had a quick google and model magic does seem pricier than i remember it being! (we use it for work)
