is a sweatshirt too much to ask for? can't find anything for dds. just want something light to take on holiday. a cardi might do, I suppose, and I might even consider a "hoody", but would prefer an ordinary sweatshirt. can anyone help? or can you tell me what your dds have as an extra summer layer for cooler days/evenings?

Some here (not sure how old they are).

JackieNo · 03/07/2006 15:33

And some more here . Wait for the Boden sale on (possibly) Friday?

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 03/07/2006 15:35

thanks - they're pretty good actually - I want something that will go with eveyrthing . prefer the "half-zips" but slightly mystified as to why they're £8 more than the plain ones!

Boden haven;t really got much in teh way of sweatshirts - they've got "lambies" but I bought one before and whilst it started out life lovely and soft it went crinkly pretty quickly.

Look at the boys' sections for sweatshirts - Sainsbury's do that kind of thing well and have some nice colours that girls might like.

JackieNo · 03/07/2006 15:39

These wouldn't be any good, would they?

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 03/07/2006 15:47

they do look nice jackieno but they;ve actually each got a towelling one - plus I'm not convinved white is a good colour - especially for holidays where I work on teh principle of wear it all week and wash it at home!

might be worth a look - no half zips though.

JackieNo · 03/07/2006 15:50

Ah MrsB - I've bookmarked your link .

Schoolwear ranges? Eg Asda ?

We got some nice go-with-everything coverups (hoods and zips but Frenchly chic) from Petit Bateau which have lasted ages.

Gap have some on sale - very light hoodies.
