Hi, I need to send a parcel of approx 4 kg (packaged in a standard size cardboard wine case box)to Ireland and I'm horrified at the prices ! Does anyone have a recommendation for a good value postal/courier service ?
Thanks !

I always use RoyalMail and it always gets there......

Thanks Imafairy; do you use surface mail or airmail ?

Is it north or south of Ireland? If north, well the same postal rates apply as for UK. If south, you can still use parcelforce and they're probably the best value - check here for links to different delivery schedules & prices. HTH

Millie thank you so much for the link; I'm posting to the Republic. The item seems to be too heavy for airmail (could split but would cost ££££). Had been checking out other Royal Mail and courier services, but didn't check parcelforce. Seems reasonable - thanks again 1

Wandering star, I use airmail, and often use the "signed for" for service too.
