Have just realised that I have individually deleted over 100 photos that were all completely lovely of dd1, thinking I had successfully uploaded them onto the computer. Unfortunately I hadn't. Has anyone ever used any of the photo memory card recovery software available on the internet and does it work???? Would soooo love to get these photos back. Any advice hugely appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, downloaded one and recovered the photos. Unfortunately I hadn't converted them from RAW format and they were ruined. If yours were jpg, you stand a better chance of recovering a good copy.

Sorry think it was called eImage recovery, but there are tonnes out there on the internet

Thank you Spagblog! It seems that I now need an external memory card reader (as our camera doesn't show up as a letter driver) to use any of the recovery packages...this is going to be expensive, but am now even more desperate to have the photos back (in the way that always happens with wanting something that seems impossible!!!) and so currently trying to block out the potential cost of it all .

Something like File Scavenger should be able to get them back, not sure why your camera isn't showing up as a drive, but a card reader is not many pennies if this helps to solve the problem. What kind of card does your camera take?

Yes, you can get card readers for about a fiver, or not much more. They're handy to have in any case. Oh, good luck

An SD card, Tribpot. Have just checked and they do go for about £5, so shall be at PC World for opening time in the morning and am trying not to think about disappointment if even with this I'm unable to get them back....

try checking your hard drive to see if theyve 'saved' themselves?..thats what mine did recently

Ellaroo · 01/07/2006 22:32

Evesmama - how do I do that????!!!

Have just found out how to do that...and they're not there. Thank you anyway though.
