buying a new car, it will have leather seats. Question is what colour? Most of the ones we like unfortunately have cream or beige. we have 2 LO under 5.
Any experiences?

Make sure you have a heated driver's seat! Bloody cold in the winter Grin

it will!
any comments on the colour of seat? will beige or cream just be a nightmare?

In my experience light coloured leathers age less well than dark ones. Black is probably best.

our car has light grey leather seats. it's lasted very well, we've had it 7 years now.

Light coloured ones show the dirt more. DS last car had light beige leather but, DC spent much more time (hence mess) in my car.

I have dark seats, currently part fabric part leather. I had the previous car for 8 years from new. Dark grey leather, wear, but no marks.

I would go dark, but that is based on my kids Grin

is that because of dirt?

sorry x post. I imagine blue jeans may mark light seats too?

We have cream leather seats for the last 3 years and have 3 dc. Yes it gets dirty but it's leather! You can clean in. It also looks brighter and nicer in my opinion

Blue jeans have never stained ours

Depends on the car colour. But leather cleans. Heated seats? No! Since having them when pregnant in a Volvo in 1994 they still
make me feel like I've wet myself. They come as standard in my car, have never used them.

Sarah I think my husband loves you - he's happy with cream and I told him I doubted anyone on MN would be happy with cream for dirt reasonsSmile

Cream leather looks lovely. You will have to clean, especially after wearing dark coloured jeans moreso than the children can do and would also recommend you buy those seat protectors to put down before you put the car seats in (or as I have done when hubby hasn't taken out of the car) buy similar colour hand towel from Asda and put down before the seats go on top. We just use the leather cleaning wipes :D
