anyone dyed an ikea loose cover?

I'm toying with the idea of dyeing a white loose cover for ikea armchair.Has anyone done this and was it successful?

yes, but a very long time ago, and I think the answer would have to be only medium successful. The colour wasn't as rich as expected (which may have something to do with stain resistance, etc) and frankly we were v lucky that it came out roughly even. I don't think I'd do it again, to be honest.
