Help me find a swinging crib please

I want a swinging beech, natural or birch swinging crib for approx £60.

I was going to get the one from Mothercare but they wont have stock in for 4 weeks.

Ive looked online at John lewis - To expensive
Kiddicare - I dont want the swinging arms sticking above the cradle
M&P - gliding cribs only
EBAY - adding postage doubles the price.

I know I may be being fussy but does anyone know of any other online shops?

Thanks

Gosh I really must take greater care when skimming thread titles - I thought this said help me find a swinging club please.

Will make that appointment to get my eyes tested asap.

And you were in like a shot QE!

flutterbee · 26/06/2006 21:55

I have one of those gliding swinging cribs from mothercare, if you live anywhere near me then I will sell you mine for £40 hardly used with mattress, it would just make it too damn expensive to post. I'm in the South East.

Wordsmith · 26/06/2006 21:55

QE I thought exactly the same thing.

Lact8 · 26/06/2006 21:55

LOL QE, that was my first thought too! Apparently I've got perfect eyesight though so it must just be my dirty mind!

try Babycare Direct - their Monika swinging one sounds about right, but the £60 doesn't include the mattress.
The Glasgow Pram Centre does have some gorgeous ones (love the asymmetric stand on this one) but they're all a bit pricey.
This one from Toys R Us is the right shape and only £50 inc mattress but isn't birch.

Hope these are some help, sorry the perfect one hasn't turned up yet!

FlameBoo · 27/06/2006 10:10

My mind is just too pure - I thought only of cribs. Mine is the kiddicare one though, so not much use. It is lovely though.

Seona1973 · 27/06/2006 20:38

The birch mothercare one is available online just now but does say 'low stock' if you wanted to order it quickly

tassis · 27/06/2006 20:40

Was going to suggest babycare direct, but see MrsB has beat me to it! They do mattresses for about £9 for a crib so not much over budget.

And they're so lovely...

(mental note to (a) get swinging crib out of loft and start reminding dh to repaint it adn (b) order new mattress!!)

mustrunmore · 28/06/2006 13:51

Ive got one with sticky up arms, but they dont stick very much. If you're anywhere near North London you're very welcome to it!

kbaby · 29/06/2006 20:59

Theyre now updating the mothercare website so even though they are now in stock you cant go to checkout.
