I think there are some in Argos. Haven't time to link as just going to work.

OK then, just for you!

we got a great one from John Lewis during their xmas clearance, doesn't seem to be on their webpage at the mo, but their next clearance starts at the weekend, so it might re-appear. Wasn't cheap at £450 but both beds very comfy and good quality so should last until ds leaves home (he is 3!)

I would get the best you can afford,we have a cheap one from argos and it is extremely uncomfortable.
M&S one is comfy,I've slept on it at friends house.

we bought a cheap bed for dd when she was about 5 and had to replace it when she was about 13 and a small adult weight. So it was ok for her whilst she was a small child but she started moaning about it at about 11 yrs old.

We bought the Argos one (can't afford £450 at JL), it's the pine spindle one and DS loves it, last night it had it's first run as a guest double bed and worked a treat. The mattresses arn't great but I figured that with the money I saved I can buy a decent main mattress when DS needs it (small bodies only need soft mattresses apparently) and the guest one will not get a great deal of use so will make do.

It is always out of stock but you can get them to email as soon as it comes in, which we did, I'm so glad I waited.

To add: the pine one has pine slats so any mattress that does for wooden beds is suitable.
