Does anyone else's DC lament the fact they cannot buy a 'personalised' toothbrush, toy lorry or suchlike because they do not have a top 50 first name?

Yes and me too! Though I like having an unusual name now.

I have a common name spelt in an unusual way so could never buy anything personalised when I was a child. It used to annoy me, doesn't bother me now.

Not sure if they do just take the "top 50" list as I have seen some very unusual names - maybe the MD of the firm who makes them wants to be able to get them for his/her children!
