I want two bookcases, one each for ds and dd. Haven't got a fortune to spend but want them to look good and last a while and want shelves deep enough to actually fit books on.
Anyone help?

You can get ones for 11.99 in IKEA. They aren't too bad. (we have 2) Otherwise IKEA do billy bookcases, which you can get in a variety of heights and widths, and aren't too expensive.

On the downside, it involves a trip to the godforsaken place!

have u looked on ebay?

CrocodileKate · 25/06/2006 13:25

A trip to Ikea was just what I was hoping to avoid

i have two from argos 24.99 each...adjustable shelves....would recommend using the wall fixings to safe though.

Thanks Biglips but was hoping for something aimed more towards kids.
May have to go for the Argos ones. Had seen some very pretty ones in Letterbox and GLTC but too expensive.

I posted a similar thread recently & just checked this one out earlier for my brother. He got one on Ebay that he was about to pay £250 for for £88 including postage. Thanks Mumsnet!
