I was looking for an iPod and there are loads of links that say bid for information on how to get an ipod for £19.99.

This sounds far too good to be true - what's the catch ???

they ask you to visit a website - but I daren't in case I get viruses or something ..

Without looking at the page and/or the links described I would say that it links you through to ebay bid pages with iPods starting from £19.99. They'll probably have a reserve on them. Having not checked Ebay or the link pages, I can't be sure.

It looks like a complete scam to me. Have a look at the webpage they link to, carefully. It's some kind of pyramid thing to get people to sign up for a mobile phone booster. Can't see how it works, but I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole personally.

Yes, I had looked at that auction (or a similar one), and gone through to the virtualad link they give on the page. That's what I was talking about in my answer
